If you're opposed to big, berry-ful bowls, gooey French toast...or ugly eggs...click away. If not, welcome to another What I Ate Wednesday where I share a full day of eating. And don't forget to read all the way to the bottom to check out what's been going on with me lately.
(1) banana
(2) cups of mixed berries
(2) cups of almond milk
(1) tbsp chia seeds
and half of a Sun Warrior vanilla protein packet.
Topped with some cinnamon and oatmeal.
I got in a sweaty workout, and then I made this yummy lunch of a turkey burger (Kirkland brand) spread with cream cheese & paired with BBQ sauce + a Garden Lites zucchini soufflé. I seriously wish I could have one of these fluffy, creamy, and veggie packed pockets every day. If only they weren't so pricy. *Sigh*
Shortly after lunch I found my chocolate tooth kickin' in, so I opted for some of these Hershey's, mini, dark chocolate chips while Baby Relic napped in the background. I was glad I didn't have to share.
Around 4 P.M. I left the house to go see my grandma, who I hadn't hugged in almost a MONTH because I was in Panamá and when I got back she was in Palm Springs. This is kind of a big deal. I live 5 minutes from my grandma and am over there constantly. And if you knew her you'd know why. The woman is an angel. Aaaaand this angel's favorite treat happens to be McDonalds Caramel Frappés. So how could I not surprise her with one when I came over? Obviously I had one too :)
And I kid you not just as I was unscrewing the milk cap to pour it in, Grandma popped in and said, "Sweetheart, won't you spoil your appetite for dinner?"
Cereal blocked by the cutest lady ever. I ended up grabbing a few handfuls dry and saving the rest in a baggie for later....grandma is always right and there is no arguing!
I savored and enjoyed every bite of this gluten free French toast doused in hot syrup, bananas, berries, & powdered sugar galore. And boy was I glad I saved my appetite. #thanksGma
Since my dinner was so sweet, I didn't crave dessert later that evening. I did however end the night with some pomegranate seeds and The Walking Dead.
What's Goin On
- This quarter at UCLA I'm taking both Structure of Spanish Lit & Spanish Syntax / Morphology. It's such a complex examination of the Spanish language in ways I've never attempted before. I'm súper intimidated, but bastante excited to see how far I've progressed in my grasp of the language at the end of the 10 weeks. I'd love to read a Gabriel García Márquez book in Spanish one day
