Hey guys,
Most of you are probably here because you follow and/or have seen my Instagram account, healthyezsweet. It started as a way to keep track of my intake and get support from fellow fit-minded folks. A little over a year later, that account has documented my downward spiral into anorexia & orthorexia, my several attempts at what I *thought was recovery, and finally my healthiest state of mind and body that I've reached today. My purpose in providing this blog is to inspire and encourage my audience to fight, not just against eating disorders, disordered thoughts, anxiety, etc. Fight against the qualities that society has taught you to crave. I hope I can inspire you to stand up to every advertisement, snide comment, and so called beauty standard and respond with a simple, strong: "I am enough". Self-love is a choice I make each and every day. It's not always easy nor is it easily defined. But I encourage you to practice asking yourself these two questions periodically throughout your every day routine: "Does this activity make me happy? Does this make me feel *good" If you ask yourself that - I mean really stop to consider it - you'll figure out whether you're engaging in self-love. It doesn't happen overnight but practice really does make perfect. On that note, being healthy to me is not about achieving perfection. I believe healthy is a state of happiness. And let's be honest, there's really nothing sweeter :) *Disclaimer: This blog is for entertainment and encouraging purposes only. I am not a doctor nor do I intend to give medical advice.
