I don't know about you, but I'm feeeeeelin twenty-twoooooo! Couldn't resist. Let me try again.
I don't know about you, but I have the hardest girl crush on a Ms. Taylor Swift. When she came out with her RED album, I listened to that ish on repeat for two weeks non-stop. No really, I didn't even take my earbuds out in class but rather bought lighter color ear buds...I listen to her music. You listen to her music. Now I'm ready to listen to her talk about her approach to keeping a fit body and healthy mind.
When asked about the six things she always has on deck in her fridge, Taylor responded with:
1) Eggs- to put on top of her fave buckwheat crepes
2) Thinly sliced ham and chicken
3) Orange juice- for her breakfasts "every morning"
4) Diet Coke
5) Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
6) Cinnamon rolls or a tub of cookie dough- "Because I'm that girl"
Her advice for dealing with stress & anxiety]
Swift tries to keep a positive attitude even when dealing with anxiety by reminding herself "[stress] can also lead to something that takes you out of that feeling and into something creative." And I for one, am very grateful that Swift channels her stress into a creative outlet because that outlet has me movin' & shakin' constantly.
Her fave way to get movin' & shakin']
Swift has a major case of the runner's bug and takes 60 minutes each day to get sweating on either her treadmill or elliptical.
But how does she stay motivated through a 60 minute cardio sesh??]
New music of course! Swift admits that sometimes she saves new music until she steps on the machine so that she has something to look forward to during her workouts.
Taylor Swift on self-love...
"I don't exercise to be thin, I exercise so I don't start panting in the middle of a show," says Swift of her reasons for working out. Swift acts as a further role model to young women everywhere attempting to love their bodies because she is always proactively trying to rid her life of any negative inner voices causing her to judge herself.
And on dealing with the negative feelings when they persist]
As you may have guessed, Taylor maintains a level head and keeps herself in check by writing when she is feeling down. Swift shares, “From a young age, any time I would feel pain I would think, ‘It’s OK, I can write about this after school."

#1 Nashville dish in Swift's book is a plate of sweet potato pancakes from Pancake Pantry, but margherita pizza from City House is a close second!
